little cups of claude

tips and techniques for Claude and Claude Code

About ☕

Little Cups of Claude is a publication providing short, focused tips and tricks for the entire Claude ecosystem. Each cup gives the reader a brief overview or explanation of a particular concept, technique, or tool. Cups are not intended to replace full documentation, but rather to complement it.

What We Cover 📚

We write about Claude and everything around it:

  • Claude API - The Messages API, tool use, streaming, batches, prompt caching, and the Anthropic SDK in both TypeScript and Python
  • Claude Code - Anthropic's coding agent, in the terminal, the Claude desktop app, the web at claude.ai/code, and the iOS and Android apps, plus skills, hooks, subagents, and running it from scripts and CI
  • Claude Agent SDK - Building custom agents in TypeScript and Python
  • MCP - The Model Context Protocol for connecting Claude to tools and data sources
  • Prompt engineering, model selection, extended thinking, and more

When we write about the Anthropic SDK or the Agent SDK, we always show code in both TypeScript and Python so you can follow along in whichever language you prefer. Every cup links to the relevant official documentation.

It's written by its creator, Jake Marsh.

New cups come out regularly. The easiest way to catch them all is the RSS feed.

There have been 5 cups published to date.
